Debt.

At the start of 2011 I was a good bit in debt. I owed Kelly auto about $400 left on a $1000 bill from some issue I had with my car last year. I also still owed Faulkner about $700, which is why I STILL don’t have a diploma in my hands. And I owe a little less than the $5000 on the only student loan I have from college. I absolutely hate being in debt. It drives me nuts.

Well the auto bill is paid off and I’m making my last payment to Faulkner this weekend. And if I stay on the budget I’ve developed I should be debt free from under that loan by November at the latest. What an awesome feeling knowing that being debt free is so close in the future.

After everything is paid off I would like to stay disciplined and continue to work off this same budget and put that money into savings so I could one day move out… or if something happens I’ve got a nice cushion of an emergency fund.

I’m sure there will be a crazy excited post when things are finally paid off. I just wanted to show how excited I was that I’m so close.
