child at heart

It is all so close now. At this time 1 week from now I will be about to/will be boarding a plane to leave for the change of a lifetime. I am somewhat overwhelmed in my flesh… there is still SO much to do and so little time. But my spirit is so calmed, my heart and mind is free falling… it’s almost like I’m just along for the ride. I don’t even really know how to explain the struggle I feel inside myself to be honoring to the Lord and to leave the fleshly worries behind.

I am packed, literally. Everything I am taking sans toothbrush and deodorant and the like are sitting in my luggage in my room waiting to be taken away. It’s all so real, It’s all happening. It’s all coming true!!! And I almost need to weep because of the joy I feel just writing those last couple sentences.

The following are some pictures my mother found from the Amboseli National Reserve (formerly Amboseli National Park. Here is the link, check it out… it will rock your socks off.  Seriously, take some time to go look at a couple. How do the people in Africa not see Christ screaming out all around them?

My computer is being amply stupid so I can’t write much more right this minute…. I will try to do some more tonight.

Please continue to pray for me and my selfish doubts and distrust. And continue to pray for the rest of our group by name as we get closer to the Lord’s work overseas….
