I am very thankful that I am part of a church where all our pastors have the same goal: that the gospel be fully preached  first in ALL that they do. I am so blessed and I know that when I move it will probably be one of the hardest changes for me.

A little background, we did not start going to church until I was almost done with 8th grade. Mview is the only church I’ve ever been a part of through membership. My testimony is complicated, and I have thought of writing it up sometime. Fast forward to the summer after HS and you get to where I had my true conversion. Did I follow that? No. Did I pursue a relationship with Christ? No. I’m 24 and can honestly say that the relationship part did not happen on my end until probably 2 years ago. Very sad. I wish I had been truthfully growing since I was born. But I’ve learned a lot.

Ok, side track aside, the point of this post is to show how David uses music to minister to members of our church and visitors by proclaiming the gospel very intently. And once again, I am so thankful. A couple Sunday nights ago we sang these songs in night worship. And I love them.

So I Will Trust You

Almighty maker, Universe shaper, You put the stars into place / Yet You descended, You have befriended / those who had hated your name / just like me

King of Glory, I know you love me, So I will trust You, Yes I will trust you / God Almighty, You have saved me, so I will trust You / Yes I will trust in you

Lord over nations, King of Creation, Heaven and Earth bow to you / I am your child, I’ve been reconciled / with tender affection You drew me to You

King of Glory, I know you love me, So I will trust You, Yes I will trust you / God Almighty, You have saved me, so I will trust You / Yes I will trust in you

How could I not trust my King / The One who has formed me and shaped me / I will rejoice and will sing for the One who has made me / who has saved me

King of Glory, I know you love me, So I will trust You, Yes I will trust you / God Almighty, You have saved me, so I will trust You / Yes I will trust in you

Name Above All Names

from the brightness of His glory, Jesus, the Son of God descends / takes on the nature of a servant, Jesus obedient to death / the Father willed to crush Him as a sacrifice for sin / He satisfied God’s justice and in victory rose again

You are highly exalted, name above all names / worthy of all praise. You are reigning in Glory / Jesus you’re the King over everything / exalted to the highest place / Given the name above all other names

the tomb is empty, Christ has risen / Jesus the Lamb once crucified / the angels never cease to worship Jesus in heaven glorified / to Him belongs the power, the wisdom, might and strength / all glory and dominion to the Lord of every age

Our knees will bow / our tongues proclaim / that you are Lord

Geez, talk about getting the chills, even just writing out the words. Like I said, I am beyond thankful for this place.
