I have some pretty big news for those of you who don’t know about it already. Check out my other blog in about an hour for a post on it: www.anewlifeinafreeka.wordpress.com

The months of Feb and March were pretty packed. I had some fun adventures along the way. I decided to get my nose pierced which was kind of random but exciting at the same time. I decided now was perfect. I’m only 24 so it is not age inappropriate right now. I have a job where it does not really matter if I have a face piercing or not, and I will be moving to Kenya in a few months where it really will not matter. I’ve enjoyed it for the most part, after I was able to get rid of the small infection I got around the piercing site.

I spent a saturday in Birmingham with Kathy for the Clover Crawl and was able to make a little bit of money with some of my sewn goods for my trip, which reminds me – I need to get some more things sewn up and an album on FB for those of you who may be interested.

I ran my first 5k of the year with some good friends, Caleb and Laura. It was both of their first runs so it was fun to be part of that with them.

My cousin Dani got engaged to her beau Kenny. :) Precious.

I made some pretty serious decisions with the move to Kenya and was able to make it a for sure happening thing this summer versus just a Lord willing some time this summer I will be going.

I also joined Weight Watchers and started meeting with a lady who was a friend and trainer once a week. In my first month (March) I was able to lose 7.2 pounds and 7.75 inches which was a pretty good start in a month if you ask me. I’m currently on day 5 of a 10 day cleanse where I eat no sugar, complex carbs or fungus (blech). It has been great for me in several aspects, and for the sanctity of you all, I will leave it at that. Brandon took my body fat % and measurements before I started so I can’t wait to see the results next week.

My little brother will be 22 in less than 2 weeks which is KIND OF CRAZY if you ask me.

Oh, I got sucked into the Hunger Games. If you know me, that is not really a surprise though. I tend to get caught up into book series that I read. I went to the midnight premier with some friends, clothed in tribute apparel, and yes, a handmade District 11 shirt. SO SHOOT ME.

I am going to call it quits on this random post now.
