I really think I should have been born in the 1950’s so I could have been a teen in the 60s and in my twenty-somethings in the 70s. For today’s music monday I decided to look on my Ipod at my most played songs and pick a few from there. The lucky winner is: BLUE OYSTER CULT.

Goodness, you can ask my family about how much I love this band. It seems like I cannot get enough of them. IF they were still out touring together I WOULD be going  to see them in concert.

My first video is “Don’t fear the reaper”. Enjoy.

All our times have come
Here but now they’re gone
Seasons don’t fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are
Come on baby…don’t fear the reaper
Baby take my hand…don’t fear the reaper
We’ll be able to fly…don’t fear the reaper
Baby I’m your man…

Valentine is done
Here but now they’re gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity…Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday…Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday…Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday…We can be like they are
Come on baby…don’t fear the reaper
Baby take my hand…don’t fear the reaper
We’ll be able to fly…don’t fear the reaper
Baby I’m your man…

Love of two is one
Here but now they’re gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn’t go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew then he appeared…saying don’t be afraid
Come on baby…and she had no fear
And she ran to him…then they started to fly
They looked backward and said goodby…she had become like they are
She had taken his hand…she had become like they are
Come on baby…don’t fear the reaper

Another huge favorite is “Burning for you”. This one does not have a video but the song is worth listening to just the same!

Since this shows the lyrics I figured it would be sort of redundant to post them after the video. Call me crazy, I know. Unfortunately, I do not know a ton of their songs but I am quickly trying to remedy that. I sometimes put the few songs I do have on repeat in a loop at the gym. I wish music would take some pointers from these guys and be good again.
