So here is the post that is like 3 weeks late… enjoy!!

p.s. – we DID NOT get any snow yesterday (I know it was a long shot, but still) and I think my heart broke a tiny bit inside. :(

Last night’s church service was such a conviction on my heart, and the Lord speaking to us in our hearts used music, the one thing my heart can use to relate to anything. I must also be careful, because as I learned while in Africa is had become my idol. I swear to you whoever wrote this song wrote my last blog entry and could relate to me.

“As Long as You are Glorified”

Shall I take from Your hand and Your blessings / Yet not welcome any pain? / Shall I thank you for days of sunshine / yet grumble in days of rain? / Shall I love you in times of plenty / then leave you in days of drought? / shall I trust when I reap a harvest / but when the winter winds blow then doubt? / Oh let your will be done in me / in your love I will abide / Oh I long for nothing else as long as You are glorified

Are you good only when I prosper / and true only when I’m filled / are you king only when I’m carefree / and God only when I’m well / You are good when I’m poor and needy / You are true when I’m parched and dry / You still reign in the deepest valley / You’re still God in the darkest night

Oh let your will be done in me / in your love I will abide / Oh I long for nothing else as long as You are glorified / So quiet my restless heart / quiet my restless heart / Oh let your will be done in me / in your love I will abide / Oh I long for nothing else as long as You are glorified / as long as You are glorified.

“Oh let your will be done in me / in your love I will abide / Oh I long for nothing else as long as You are glorified” Man do I long for the days when my heart screams that from its depths and every word of it be true.

Isn’t it crazy how the Lord will give you just the comfort you need exactly when you need it? I was sitting in church last night and we sang this song and I ended up getting really teary eyed. I would like to share it with you. Please read it with an open heart, maybe the Lord will use it in a situation in your own life.

“Hide Away in the Love of Jesus”

Come weary saints though tired and weak / Hide away in the Love of Jesus / Your strength will return by His quiet streams / Hide away in the Love of Jesus / Come wandering souls to find your home / Hide away in the Love of Jesus / He offers the rest that you yearn to know / Hide away in the Love of Jesus

Hear Him calling your name / See the depths of His Love / In the wounds of His grace, Hide away

Come guilty ones weighed down with sin / Hide away in the Love of Jesus / The freedom you long for is found in Him / Hide away in the Love of Jesus

Hear Him calling your name / See the depths of His Love / In the wounds of His grace, Hide away

Come hopeless hearts do not despair / Hide away in the Love of Jesus / For ten thousand joys await you there / Hide away in the Love of Jesus

Hear Him calling your name / See the depths of His Love / In the wounds of His grace, Hide away

How amazing a picture is that? As I sit here typing this I listen to Bebo Norman and one of his songs, “I will lift my eyes”. I am pretty sure I put the lyrics in here in an earlier post. That song WILL be at my funeral and it brings me to my knees when I am so lost and scared.

This past weekend has been crazy. I’ve been utterly confused and scared, and then the Lord put me with my SS class at a lunch get together and just opened some doors for new amazing friendships as well as strengthened some I already had. The Lord is amazing, and I say that in the still struggling state that I am in. He is everything.
