,

tomorrow….

Tomorrow is the big day. My mom, brother and I will leave our house around 8a and head to Atlanta so they can drop me off so I can go to my other home! :) I am so excited. This past week has felt like its been 6 months at least. Funny how that goes, cause I gaurantee while i’m over there it will fly by. stink.

In case you were wondering, I will be able to keep you updated but probably not through the blog. I will be sending emails to my mom and she will put them on my facebook and hers as notes so people can see whats going on. So friend us ASAP – debey epps or bella epps.

I will be writing a journal again this year so when I get home I will type it up and put it on here. Plus, I promise there will be TONS of pictures, don’t worry about that.

If you wanted to pray for us (PLEASE DO!) here are some specific ways you can:

Africa Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for the aftermath of the drought that has been occurring in Meru, Kenya. The lack of rain has caused waves of doubt in many of the Christians in Meru, especially in the families of the farmers. Please pray for the doors that have been opened through their doubt, and for the Lord to speak through us in this incredibly difficult time.
  • Please pray for gospel opportunities in the previous and newly planted churches in the following areas where we will be going:
    •  Magadi church and orphanage
    • Tigania – Nchiru church, Miathene church
    • Gatigati – Kiririwa church, Migambo church
    • Timau Farmers
    • Timau – Gatinka church
    • Igembe – Kirindine church, Kanooro church
    • Kambakia church
    • Kithaene church
    • Maasai – Sukuta church
    • Meru south – Kamuchiri church
  • Please pray for our translators (all Christians) and for our local helpers: Catherine and her son Murithi, Makena and her daughter Gakii – along with any others needed as the Lord may lead.
  • Please pray for each one of us in our group in the following ways: for evangelistic opportunities, safety, health, and for the Lord to humble and break us, and to open our eyes to fulfill His will in our lives. Please pray for those who have not gone on this trip, for the Lord to give them comfort and peace through the many changes and shocks one can face.
    • Aaron Davis (first time)
    • Adam Davis (first time)
    • Alexandria (Alex) Hisey (first time)
    • Corinne Fanaeus
    • Bella Epps
    • Lacee Sewell
    • Sandra Alexander (first time)
    • Jerry Sanders (first time)
    • Renae Stabler (first time)
    • Tatun Coleman
    • Richard & Marinda Trull
  • Please pray that the eyes of all present during the women’s classes, the Kambakia training days and the CBS (children’s bible schools) will be opened and their hearts will be open to the gospel of Christ. Please pray that seeds will be planted.
  • Please pray for the youth meeting weekend that we will be planning and putting on. This was great last year and we were able to help many of the teens present. Please pray that we will be sensitive to their needs and plan with discernment, based on the cultural differences between us. Please pray specifically for the young female’s to feel comfortable to speak to us (the young women in our group).
  • Please pray for me, Bella, that I may have a quiet spirit and that I will show Christ in my actions and in my speaking and teaching others, in any doctrinal differences that may occur with my other group mates who are Church of Christ.
  • Please pray that the day to day interactions in our own group may show the love of Christ and open doors to the Muslims who are in charge of the hotel that will be our home.
  • Please pray especially the last few days of our trip for Richard and Marinda Trull who will be leaving us behind in Nairobi and traveling to South Africa to work in refuge camps, and work at opening doors for future missions opportunities.
  • Lastly, I ask that you all please pray that we will be earnestly searching for opportunities to show and tell the gospel with our lives and our word in the time we have in the many airports and on the many plane flights here in America, and our time in the markets and free time while we are in Meru.

I love you all and will see you after July 15th! Have a great: 4th of july, birthday, anniversary etc./whatever you may have while I’m gone. :)
