‘Grace Like Rain’

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound/ That saved a wretch like me/ I once was lost but now I’m found/ Was blind but now I see so clearly

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me/ Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear/ And Grace my fears relieved/ How precious did that Grace appear/ The house I first believed

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me/ Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

When we’ve been there ten thousand years/ Bright shining as the sun/ We’ve no less days to sing Your praise/ Than when we first begun

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me/ Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me/ Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

This song makes me cry every time I listen to it. Talk about getting yourself into the mode for worship. I think the words speak for themselves… I would be nothing without that beautiful thing, Grace, given to me by my Awesome and Precious Lord.

I had a mini-breakdown with a dear sweet friend last night, hashing out and dealing with things in my past that I could not control and the things I did to cover the pain that resulted from those issues, smoking weed and drinking and partying with some friends I had no business being around, which in turn only brought more issues and a distance between me and my family and me and my Lord. And she did MORE than enough to calm my troubled soul, and point me straight back to the Wonderful cross… and I thank God for “accidentally” coming across this song on one of my mixed Cd’s today. I do not know where I would be if it were not for this Grace and Christ’s constant pursuit of my wretched soul.
